Dr. Justin Moore earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University. He completed his predoctoral internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Munroe Meyer Institute and his postdoctoral fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. Dr. Moore works with children, adolescents, and their families. His clinical interests include problems with adjustment to acute or chronic illness, anxiety, depression, adherence to medical regimens, consultation with medical teams, pediatric chronic pain, and pediatric sleep disorders. As a pediatric health psychologist, he draws from a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches such as cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based interventions. He uses a biopsychosocial perspective when conceptualizing the best ways to support clients. As a supervisor, he creates a safe space while following a culturally sensitive developmental model to support mental health providers in their professional growth. In addition, Dr. Moore serves as an assistant professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and as a pediatric psychologist at Lurie Children’s.
